My personal statement is that I should be teaching students tools to learn, not just facts. How we learn is just as important as WHAT we learn.... My teaching philosophy has always been to meet a students needs. Teaching according to HOW they learn.... I typically build a positive rapport with my students. Having a common ground is necessary for learning as well as teaching.

I am an undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Computer Science. I have experience in tutoring friends with work in their classes and am strong in math. I will try to get the student to understand topics by showing them multiple ways to get to the solution!
