About Me

I am an award-winning writer and academic with experience teaching English Composition, Essay Writing and Creative Writing, and Literature at the college level. I received a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from the CUNY Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies, and completed four years of PhD coursework in English Literature. I excelled at SAT and GRE Verbal tests, as well as the GRE English Literature subject test. I can work with you to hone your writing and reading skills, perfect your essays, prepare you for entry into university, and ensure you shine in your college work. In tutoring writing, I focus on essay structure, vocabulary, research, and helping you form sound and convincing arguments in your own voice. Teaching English and World Literature, I guide through thoughtful analysis and lively discussion to truly engage with your reading. Preparing for tests like the SAT and GRE, I empower you to read with both speed and comprehension to make the correct choices. I also have many years of experience with Business Writing and can help you perfect those skills to succeed and advance in the job market. Finally, I am a fluent speaker of Croatian and offer comprehensive entry-level and advanced tutoring in that language. I am available for remote/online tutoring at a time most convenient to your schedule.
