About Me

I am currently an Assistant Professor of political science at State University of New York (SUNY) in Cortland. I tutor students in a range of subjects, though I am most excited to work with students in the subjects of writing, English, social studies/civics, American history and government. I am also good at helping students develop research proposals and outlines. I am passionate about helping high school students master material that will help them be successful in high school while also preparing them for college settings. I also very much enjoy helping college students get the most out of their college education by supporting them in being successful in their courses. I aim to help students with their acute course needs as well as assist them in developing skills for studying and learning that they can use throughout their entire lives. Before getting my PhD, I worked for nonprofit organizations; this experience allows me to engage with students about government and politics in ways that are real and relevant. I also like to help students explore career paths that can utilize their interest in government and politics. In my spare time, I enjoy reading fiction, hiking in one of the many beautiful state parks in upstate New York, and volunteering with organizations that help animals.
