About Me

I hold an engineering degree from IIT-R, India, and a master's in business management. With nearly twenty-five years of classroom teaching experience in Business Statistics, MIS, MS Office, Operations Management, and Statistical Quality Control, I also tutor high school and college students in Statistics, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, and related subjects. I have helped many students prepare for AP exams, Accuplacer tests, and Regents exams. Comfortable with statistical software and tools such as Excel, SPSS, StatCrunch, Minitab, and graphing calculators, I integrate technology into learning. Since 2014, I have volunteered as an ESL instructor at a public library for nine years. Though a non-native English speaker, I have been praised by learners from diverse backgrounds and by native-speaking colleagues. I am an extremely patient tutor who values students' time and prepares in advance when material is shared. My approach emphasizes adapting to each student's level, guiding them through problem-solving strategies, choosing the right formulas, and applying technology effectively. Central to my teaching are two principles: adapting instruction to maximize learning and fostering better retention. My goal is to build confidence, curiosity, and resourcefulness in every student.
