About Me

I am a third-year undergraduate student at Bates College. I am studying economics, sociology, and french. In high school I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, receiving a Bilingual Diploma (in French and English). Additionally, I was an IB Primary and Middle years program, student. My interest in tutoring began with sitting for bilingual families in Atlanta, GA with children who needed IB PYP homework help in English and french or Spanish. From there I expanded to tutoring in various middle and high school subjects. While my first academic love is languages, I tutor a variety of subjects including writing, social sciences, economics, IB curriculum, and college applications. I've found with IB students it's especially helpful that I've been through the entirety of the unique curriculum. I strongly believe knowledge is power. For instance, languages provide us more opportunities to understand and communicate with the world around us and STEM helps us to develop technology, medicine, and overall quality of life. I try to spread this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, yoga, hiking, volleyball, and dabbling in art.
