About Me

I'm incredibly fortunate to have worked in my dream field of international human rights for 16 years. I've spent a lot of time meeting with Members of the US Congress and their staff, the State Department, foreign embassies and governments, and partnering with other non-profit organizations. This has given me a lot of first- hand experience in the areas of government, foreign relations, geography, and history. I've also had the opportunity to travel extensively, speak at international conferences, leading lobbying efforts , as well as represent NGO's at the UN in NYC and Geneva. A few of the places I've visited for work are North Korea, China, Egypt, Mexico, the Netherlands, Italy, the UK, Hungary, Canada, and Switzerland. I firmly believe that my personal experience can make these subjects more relevant and interesting to students. I had too many professors who only lived and worked in academia, and their perspective was limited. I'm passionate about making these subjects come alive for students who may even find a passion for one of them.
