About Me

I am a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). I received my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. During the course of my studies, I was a tutor and peer leader at UTSA and have continued tutoring privately after graduation. Since graduation, I have also gained experience in healthcare settings and am pursuing a pathway to pharmacy school. I tutor chemistry at both the high school level (regular and AP) and the college level (general inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, & biochemistry). I used to be a struggling high school chemistry student until I got to college and changed my mindset on what chemistry is at its core from a seemingly daunting, complicated, and boring subject to the very link between physics and biology. Since then, I have been an A student in college and passed all my chemistry classes with flying colors. The secret: the beauty of chemistry (or any other science) is not how complex it is but how incredibly simple it can be with the right mindset. I strongly believe that liking a subject is the first step to performing well in it. Why should you like or care about chemistry? The same elements of the periodic table that form all of the cosmos are the exact building blocks that make up you! Through simple physical arguments, you can explain all of the chemical world, including stars, planets, and life itself! My job as a tutor, thus, is more than just helping you plug numbers into an equation. It is to instill in you a love of the subject so that you can appreciate what you are investing your time and effort into and also so that you can become a lifelong learner! In my free time, I enjoy watching and playing sports, especially soccer, football, and basketball! Hobbies: reading, writing, art, books, music, sports
