About Me

I received my high school diploma from Cave Spring High School in Roanoke, Virginia, and was a Valedictorian of my class. I am currently a rising Junior at Virginia Commonwealth University studying biomedical engineering on the premedical track. I am also in the Honor's College and have been on the Dean's list every semester since I enrolled. I tutor Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and the SAT. My favorite subject to tutor is mathematics because it has been my favorite subject ever since I started school. I began tutoring in high school, and have taken a Supplemental Instructor job at VCU for General Chemistry. My tutoring style is to first get a baseline for the student and what they are struggling with. Then, working through problems with them to make sure they are on track, and finally having them solve problems on their own to make sure they are fully understanding the material. I find it beneficial to connect the material to interests of the student. Outside of academia, I enjoy watching sports mainly baseball. I enjoy learning about technology and new advancements in the industry. I also enjoy playing chess in my free time, and really enjoy learning the game.
