About Me

I strongly believe in the power of teaching, and I want to help students expand their field and depth of knowledge, as well as feel accomplished and good about themselves. Asking for help and support has been one of the most vital aspects of my education, and I hope to return that gift to students through tutoring. I started tutoring elementary school students when I was in high school, and I began advising other high school students for college test prep and applications as I was transitioning to Yale. I am now a sophomore at Yale University. For most of my high school career I attended Syosset Public High School, a National Blue Ribbon School in Long Island. In both academic settings I had great, inspirational teachers who influence the way I view learning today. Patience, validation, encouragement, and clear demonstration are values that I bring into my tutoring sessions. I believe that the most important thing is for the student to walk away feeling encouraged, willing to take on challenges, and feeling equipped to take on those challenges in a meaningful way. Outside of academics I love to sing, play the piano, bake, and read fiction books. My passions for mental health, education, and music drive the extracurriculars I am involved with at Yale. When it comes to personal values, I believe in kindness, honesty, and strong interpersonal relationships. I hope to be able to help your student on their academic journey!
