About Me

I am passionate about education and instilling a lifelong love of learning in my students. After graduating from Duke University with a degree in both linguistics and English and a certificate in "Policy Journalism & Media Studies," I enrolled in a two year master's program at the University of Notre Dame. During these two years, I completed my coursework for a master's degree in education while teaching in an under-resourced school in Dallas, Texas. There I taught the skills of effective writing, speaking, and listening to students in grades 6 through 8 in grammar, vocabulary, literature, and writing classes. I would like to continue helping students realize their full potential by tutoring them in what I am most passionate about--the art of the written and spoken word. I now live in Washington, D.C., and am eager to continue pursuing work in the field of education.
