About Me

I am a Biochemistry and Biophysics major at Amherst College on the Biophysics track. I tutor students in students struggling with reading comprehension through the Reader to Reader program. In high school, I tutored peers struggling with algebra, geometry, and biology. In college, I have taken and done well in a wide range of classes including classes in biology, chemistry, physics, and advanced mathematics. In my spare time, I love reading science fiction, realistic fiction, fantasy, and nonfiction. I tutor SAT math and critical reading, Prealgebra, Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, Calculus AB and Calculus BC, as well as Chemistry, Biology and Physics. In my approach, I ensure that students understand the logical basis behind each concept, by teaching students to understand why a concept or problem solving method works the way it does, not just how to memorize what steps to take to arrive at the answer.
