About Me

I am a graduate of Hillsdale College and received my Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature and spent a semester studying abroad in Paris, France. While in college, I tutored elementary, high school and college students in reading, American history, and French. Since graduation I have worked as a volunteer park ranger in Yosemite National Park and taught French at a private high school in St. Louis, Missouri. This coming academic year I will be teaching English to high school students in France. While I tutor students in reading, English, and American History, I am most passionate about French. As a longtime Francophile, I appreciate the new perspectives gained by studying a foreign language. I also believe an education is the greatest asset a person can have. I understand that a student of any age needs to be engaged with the subject they are learning in order to make progress. I am conscientious and prepare extensively for my tutoring sessions and adapt my teaching strategies in order to best fit my student. I expect students to participate fully in each session and I work hard to ensure our lessons are unique and productive. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, watching the latest French film, and exploring St. Louis. Hobbies: reading, music, baking, films, hiking, art, books, writing
