About Me

I am the definition of a Jersey girl who believes good grammar and vibrant diction can change the world! As a graduate of William Paterson University's class of 2015, summa cum laude with a degree in Early Childhood / Elementary Education and an Endorsement in Middle School English Writing, I am eager to see what life has in store for me! I have high hopes for my own classroom in a local NJ elementary or middle school, dreams of traveling to the sunshine and even to the snow, and I have the strongest desire to perfect my Spanish speaking in the next coming months. As a self-proclaimed language lover, word wizard, and punctuation princess, I have a passion for all things English or Language Arts. I find joy in piecing together, dissecting and recreating sentences, paragraphs, and even stanzas to find or create meaning and purpose for the reader and the writer! As an undergraduate student, I spent much of my free time working in the university writing center to help my peers improve and master their own writing skills. The rest of my free time was spent either laughing with friends, trying a new recipe or looking deals on Groupon! I also love to write my own poetry in my spare time, and I enjoy reciting it before audiences at local open mics nights! My favorite poets are Pablo Neruda, Russell Edson, and Toni Morrison because they all have their own unique voices and styles that encourage my eyes and my mind to indulge further and further into their works, page after page. Speaking of pages, I recently coauthored a book with six other undergraduate students and a professor that is available on Amazon.com and even in Barnes & Noble stores. As an education major, I understand what it truly means to be flexible, versatile, and adaptive, so no matter what subject you may need some help in, I will be sure to walk you through each step with patience, enthusiasm, and encouragement because together we can achieve great things!
