About Me

I graduated from the University of Virginia with degrees in Mathematics, with a finance concentration, and Economics, with a focus on public policy. I I would be lying if I said that I knew what I want to be when I grow up. I can say with certainty, however, that I love to teach, which is what I've done since graduation as a coach and teacher at The Gilman School. As the oldest of five boys I've spent my life practicing the arts of patient mediation and instruction. I am also a huge nerd and the greatest thrill of any nerd is sharing what they love with others. I happen to love math, and science, and writing, and history... And I really enjoy sharing these subjects with others. I am currently a middle and high school math teacher who excels in working patiently with students and in one-on-one tutoring arrangements. I worked as an economics tutor throughout college as well as a middle school math and science tutor. I also co-designed and led a class. When I reflect on my college involvements, these were the most rewarding and enjoyable. I am excited by the opportunity to continue to instruct though the platform that varsity tutors offers. In my spare time I love playing sports, my favorites are football and basketball, as well as reading.
