About Me

Playing football at Furman University taught me numerous life lessons; one of my favorite is how important school is in the bigger picture. While pursuing my engineering degree, teammates would ask me for help with their math and science courses. This is where my tutoring experience began. Tutoring became important to me, because it helped my friends and gave me a better understanding of the material. I still practice most of the skills I learned from tutoring everyday at my job. I currently run a laboratory for the aerospace industry, and it requires great organization and management skills. I am also constantly teaching new-hires proper testing techniques. Throughout my experience I've noticed a common factor in successful teachers and coaches. Motivation is a key component in any learning process; if you can capture the student's attention, the rest will come with time and practice. This is why I try to get to know my students, so that I can truly capture what motivates them.
