I was born in Montclair, NJ and have lived in Boston, Los Angeles, Australia, The Czech Republic, New York, and Pennsylvania, and can now be found in Northern Westchester, NY. With over 14 years experience teaching students aged 3-70, I currently teach College Writing at Montclair State in New Jersey and both Critical Thinking and Junior Seminar at Mercy College in Westchester. I am the self-published author of more than a dozen scifi and horror novels, available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. My tutoring is focused on the test specifically and has worked for many hundreds of delighted students and families.

I am currently a college student studying biology and Spanish. My teaching philosophy centers on building strong connections with students, encouraging their curiosity, and tailoring my approach to meet their individual needs. I believe that every student has the potential to excel, and by breaking down concepts to be more digestible, I can help them reach their academic goals.

I believe that all learning begins with curiosity; if a first little spark of interest can be kindled, understanding will soon follow. During my time spent serving as a volunteer tutor during both my high school and undergraduate years, I was able to help many students increase their knowledge of History, English Literature, and Grammar. Additionally, I was also able to help others gain the skill sets necessary for accomplished essay writing and SAT Verbal Test Preparation. My goal is to always guide the student towards a deeper comprehension of the subject matter, with development of the corresponding techniques and sense of confidence necessary for success.

I am a current Master's in Public Health student at the University of South Florida. I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in Biology and minor in public health. I have previous experience tutoring middle school reading and math. I enjoy helping students better understand concepts because I know how it feels to be confused, and it seems like no one is able to help you. I hope to be that person who can help you better understand the subject and maybe enjoy it too! My favorite subject is math, especially calculus and algebra!

Currently, I am a Research Technician at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. I have tutored as an undergraduate student, and I have been the lead TA for General Chemistry courses at UC Berkeley. Chemistry is one of my passions, and I would love to share my experience!

As a student of life, education, both formal and informal, energizes me. On the formal front, I have my AA in Psychology, my BA in Criminology, and my MS in E-Commerce, and I have an equally diverse post-studies career history. My love of education has taken me to Southern California where I fed my love of law and learned about film. Next, I visited rural Florida with a stint at a Community Theatre. I've even spent a fair amount of time in the Hospitality Industry in Las Vegas, which, unexpectedly, introduced me to the construction industry. Through all of this, I have been a professional tutor for profit and pro bono. I believe education should be available to everyone regardless of age, sex, or socio-economic status, and I utilize learning identification to impart wisdom in the most effective way possible for each student's needs. I love that magical moment when the student "gets it." With experience in a broad range of subjects, mathematics is the most enjoyable for me, as well as LSAT Logic Games I'm the weirdo doing LSAT games at the tea house. My spare time finds me in nature for hikes and trail runs, and I can regularly be found on an obstacle course (Spartan, Tough Mudder, SISU, etc.) or doing an extreme endurance events either racing or supporting friends. They have experience as an Adjunct Instructor of Spanish at George Mason University, and an adjunct instructor of French at the University of Pittsburgh. They are currently getting their PhD in French. They have also been trained as a writing tutor in English, French and Spanish. Elsie grew up in France, and continued to learn languages in immersion programs, study abroad semesters, and fascinating courses through graduate school. They have worked with multilingual students in elementary schools, immersion academies, tutoring programs, and in university courses. They also speak German, a little bit of Italian, and has an ever-growing "languages to learn" list.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Biomolecular Science. I am currently a candidate for a Master's in Oral Health Sciences. While I tutor in many different subjects, my favorites are math, science, and English. I want students to love what they are learning. School is supposed to be fun and challenging. I want kids to see that while some subjects might be trickier than others, anything is possible if you just put your mind to it.

I'm a freshman at Rutgers University studying Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. I've always been curious about how the world works, which led me to explore everything from physics and calculus to machine learning and space research. I'm especially interested in how AI can solve real problems in spacelike predicting satellite orbits or understanding Earth's upper atmosphere. Outside of the classroom, I've tutored students from grades 6 to 12 in math and physics. I love breaking down tricky concepts and helping students find that "aha" moment. My favorite subject to tutor is Algebra 2it's where math starts getting deeper and connects to the real world, especially physics and engineering. I focus on making my sessions clear, supportive, and engaging. Whether a student needs help building confidence or mastering complex topics, I aim to make learning feel less stressful and more exciting.
