I have my Masters in Education and my Bachelors in Chemistry from the University of Maryland (Go Terps!). I have taught Pre-college Test Prep for over 8 years. I have also worked with children with special needs or developmental delays for the same amount of time. I have taught the gambit from early childhood education to teaching college courses. I love to teach because I love to inspire and affect change. I was blessed to have amazing teachers who challenged me and I only wish to do the same with my students. I am looking to find a students’ inner motivation so that they can best achieve their academic and career goals. My favorite subject to tutor is math, especially to students who “do not like” math, because I feel that these students just have not been taught that language yet and only need to learn how to decipher it. As a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I had the opportunity to manage my mission's finances as well as teach English native Spanish speakers in Colombia. In 2008, after getting acquainted with advanced graphic design, I was able to win the first place in the logo design competition for the participation of employees and workers in the Iranian oil industry. After immigrating to the United States, I made my way to the semi-finals of the Piff Festival in the Czech Republic with a short animation screening at many festivals, and my film was screened several times at other festivals.
