I am most passionate about are reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, and phonics and elementary math. I also have experience teaching students how to be more organized and strategies in test taking.

I am most comfortable tutoring include Elementary Reading (comprehension, fluency, decoding, phonics, etc.) and Elementary Math, as I have the most experience teaching and tutoring students in these areas and grade levels (K-6). I have taught in public elementary, middle, and high schools at all grade levels K-12. I have taught in both brick-and-mortar and online settings.

I am well versed in both subject areas. My student evaluations were always very high, and I focused on making History fun and relevant to things happening today. I try to take history from boring facts to interesting connections that tell a story and explain why events come about.

I am a graduate of East Carolina University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. I am currently a student at the University of Texas at Arlington working towards my Masters in Linguistics, which I intend to use to continue teaching English language at a private or public school. I have managed school-based tutoring programs for Reading development and have led schools in reaching state accountability goals.
