I teach ELA, Math, Science and Social Living. I I love learning and sharing different cultures. I always love communicating with other people. It has been my advocate to spread equality and diversity. I have teaching licenses in the Philippines, State of Nevada and State of New Mexico. My name is Ametha Williams and I have been a public school teacher for 15 years. I am certified to teach in grades K-6, Middle School Science grades 7-8, English grades 7-12, Math grades 7-12, and History grades 7-12. The bulk of my educational experience has been teaching Math and Science in grades K-6. During my time as an elementary and middle school teacher, I was chair of the Math and Science departments where part of my duties involved organizing after-school tutoring programs for students who were at risk of failing. I believe that all students can learn and achieve, it is up to teachers to provide students with the support needed to reach their goals.

I enjoy helping people learn and thrive. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English Education and a Master's Degree in Special Education. Since teaching for over 19 years, I've learned that there are many styles of learning and that earning can be a lot of fun. There are many techniques and strategies that I have enjoyed sharing with my students to give them confidence in reading, writing, public speaking, and more. Some of my personal interests are movies, music, traveling, my family, my dog (Benji), working out, sports (especially basketball) and shopping.

I first of all love children students in general whether children or adults. I love educating and tapping the potential in them to produce a positive educational experience. Currently, I am attending SF State University and am attaining my M.Sc. degree in Biochemistry. In addition, I enjoy teaching both biology and chemistry during my spare time-- this is my passion. I teach these subjects to all ages and strive to improve scientific literacy in my own way, that is, being an effective tutor.Moreover, my method of tutoring is particularly effective, because I get to know what type of learner the student is (e.g. visual learner, hands-on learner, etc.) and present the material in this way. This method prepares the student with a basic foundation of knowledge to continue to study independently, that is, without the help of me. Thus, as your potential tutor I will come to know the weaknesseses in your knowledge and improve them in a way best suited to you.

I am pretty good at math and science. I have an artistic talent. If you need help with drawing, I can do that with no problem. I can draw very realistically. I am a fluent French speaker. If anyone needs help with French subject, count me in. I can speak and understand Spanish but, I am not fluent. I specialize in English, Earth Science, and Computer Science. Also, I am a certified Medical Office Administration Assistant, Billing and Coding Specialist and Electronic Health Records Specialist with the National Healthcare Association (NHA). I have experience working with a variety of age groups. The subjects that I like to tutor are Reading and Writing. I also enjoy working with students on the college application process. It is an exciting time for high school students and I enjoy assisting in making the college selection that is right for them.
