Hi! I'm Matt. I study physics and computer science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I want to help you understand physics, math, and computer science in an intuitive way that builds deep knowledge of the subject and the connections between different fields that I find so interesting.

I'm a recent graduate from RPI with a degree in Computer Science and Math. I enjoy helping people understand difficult concepts. I've had success assisting friends and relatives on everything from individual homework assignments to entire classes.

...Dame with a degree in computer science. My teaching style is simple and relaxed, putting an emphasis on what students know already and building from there. The biggest teaching mistake I believe exists is starting from a concept that a student doesn't understand and unknowingly confusing them more. My goal is to get students excited about what they're learning and constantly remind them of the "why": how it all matters in the real world.

...computer programming, been a TA for the same class, and been a TA for organic chemistry. I have also taken the SAT and the MCAT and scored well, so I have an understanding of teaching those tests. I have also taken and passed Step 1, and am currently studying for Step 2, so I'm well versed in those areas. Finally, I love writing, and write short science fiction and spy stories in my spare time.
