I attend Kent State University and am earning my Bachelor's Degree in English Literature with a minor in writing. After graduating next semester, I plan to continue to pursue a career path in education. I have two years of tutoring experience and it is a very special job to me. I love to help each student find their individual voice in their writing and academic pursuits.

...the poverty line. Working with these kids is what got me interested in tutoring. When Im not working with younger students, I enjoy tutoring courses like Spanish, Biology, and Environmental Science because they really push students to understand and not just memorize. I know that I have instilled them with the confidence necessary to succeed in the course when my student can explain the content back to me in their own words.

I believe with sincere EFFORT from myself and my future students, we will make gains that will surprise us both. I enjoy working with children and watching them make real world connections to Reading, Math, Writing, Science, and Social Studies. When a child makes connections, they have better retention of their subjects. Learning takes hard work and should be fun, and I'll do my best to make sure that no time will be wasted.
