Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has a small exam coming up so we practiced the law of cosines and the law of sines. As usual he's pretty good at it and I just threw more problems at him until the timer ran out."
"We covered section 2.3 involving real zeros of polynomial functions. We then spent some time reviewing two questions the student had about homework."
"We covered problems related to revenue, costs and profits. Calculating derivatives and limits were also included in this session."
"The student just had a test yesterday covering all of the material on matrices that we discussed during our last session. As such we began looking ahead at some of the material coming up. We had already talked some about vectors, so we focused primarily on the plotting of ellipses and hyperbolas and the general forms of their equations. This is one of the shorter and more simple sections of this course, so I believe he will have no problem with the upcoming material. We then spent some time going over the basic notation of sequences, arithmetic and geometric, as well as explicit and recursive forms of these sequences."
"Over the session, the student and I went over the basics of working with quadratic equations and solving to find various parts of the parabola. She did an excellent job at identifying each necessary part and had a positive attitude about understanding the material. After reviewing, she was able to complete all of her homework with much success. She seemed well equipped with the material and I look forward to seeing her progress."
"The student has a test this week on polar coordinates, complex form, and conic sections. She did well with the polar material and vectors; she just needed a refresher."
