We worked on practice problems to help prepare for a test tomorrow. The student was very quick to pick up on any concepts presented. The last thing we worked on was the simple interest formula (and solving for variables in it), but afterwards, we spent a brief period discussing compound interest, because the student displayed interest in its applications for investing, loans, etc.

We worked on solving and graphing the solutions to inequalities, as well as translating verbal statements to algebraic expressions. The first question I asked was about the "one rule" for inequalities, switching the sign. She did not remember this, but when it came up in a problem, she remembered it with a little prodding. We covered her homework, and then did some additional problems. We also talked about what the graphical solution meant.
