I help with computer science theory, c++, python, c, and mathematics practically algebra, linear algebra, trigonometry, precalculus and algorithms. Basically, if you need help with computer science I can be there for you in addition I do know some hardware concepts.

More often than not, I am able to build a quick rapport with children. I am focused, energetic and driven, but I still know how to have fun. I have been certified in a program called Love and Logic which teaches adults effective discipline. Learning should be multi-disciplinary. Often history, science, math and writing all blend together. The beauty is in getting student to see how they blend together.

As Senior College student and young Entrepreneur, I can relate to the challenges of studying. I've taught myself how the brain learns to be successful in my coursework, and I'm passionate about teaching. I do my best learning when I need to teach a subject from different angles of understanding.

I believe that all students are capable of learning any subject they pursue, and with this in mind, I genuinely want to cultivate this curiosity and watch students learn and grow. Throughout my high school tenure, I worked with a variety of age groups, ranging from 9 to 19 on various subjects, attempting to help expand their understanding in a fun and meaningful manner. I have always appreciated the hardworking nature of students, and come to learn that if you can teach a student right, they will always be willing to learn any subject regardless of difficulty. As an engineering student at Northern Arizona University, I am qualified and skilled in mathematics ranging from Algebra to Calculus, as well as both creative and non-creative writing styles which grant a major proficiency in English grammar, syntax, and diction. Also, considering my background as a military dependent, I have lived overseas in Japan, which have granted me an extensive knowledge of Japanese culture and customs, including a conversational understanding of the language and its utility. Japanese and English are my favorite subjects to study by far, as language is a hobby I enjoy, but I always have fun in any subject when the student and I can enjoy and appreciate the session as a whole. On that note, I have always prided my philosophy when it comes to teaching, as I believe every individual has their own strengths and weaknesses of acquiring and remembering information. I believe that identifying these aspects of a student's mindset and using them to "rewire" the way they process information can have a lasting impact on how they perceive learning altogether. Outside of academics, I really enjoy Pokemon, art, and hiking!

I have always had a deep love of learning and when I graduated college with a degree in broadcast journalism and joined Teach for America I became passionate about other's education as well. I have taught middle school reading and math for special education and am currently teaching elementary special education. I am also pursuing my master's degree in speech language pathology, hoping to continue to make an impact on children outside the classroom. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and adorable puppy, hiking, yoga and the beautiful beaches of Hawaii.

I attend the prestigious New York University where I continue my studies toward a degree in Creative Writing and Marketing. As a former contributing writer and editor for The Source Magazine and Bleu Magazine, I have covered stories in art, culture and politics. Whenever I am not writing, I perform as a poet on the college circuit or mentor students in the art of writing and performing poetry as part of Citizen Schools - an after school apprenticeship program for middle school children. I aspire to one day become a professor in English and Literature in hopes of spreading my passion for language to the next generation of young minds. I hope to continue to connect people through the power of words and storytelling.

Since graduation, I have continued my education at Nevada State College for a degree in Psychology. My experience consists of working with young students and teaching them new concepts.
