I received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Western Kentucky University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University, and an MBA/MHA from Western Governors University. I have been a registered nurse since 1997, and throughout my career, I have found that nursing is as much about teaching as it is about caregiving. Every day involves educating patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
My experience as a nurse for over 25 years has equipped me with the skills to adapt to many different personalities and learning styles. I believe tutoring should be personalized, with a focus on what the individual needs to understand and succeed. My favorite subjects are the sciences, particularly anatomy, and I truly enjoy helping others grasp complex topics in a way that makes sense to them.
Outside of nursing, I've coached soccer for over 15 years and continue to enjoy watching the sport, especially throughout Europe and the United States. I also value physical health and make time for running and exercise. I'm passionate not only about helping future nurses grow in their knowledge and confidence, but also about supporting young children and youth in their educational journeys. Sharing what I've learned and helping others succeed is one of the most fulfilling parts of my life.
