I am a proud graduate of the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with experience spanning the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Cardiovascular (Peds CV), and Nurse Case Management. This diverse background has not only honed my clinical skills but has also ignited a passion for education and mentorship, particularly in preparing aspiring nurses for the NCLEX. I have embraced the role of tutor, first at UNM, where I assisted students in both general education and nursing courses. This experience was pivotal in shaping my teaching philosophy, which centers on critical thinking and question evaluation. I am committed to empowering the next generation of nurses, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed. Outside of my professional life, I find solace and inspiration in the great outdoors. Camping and exploring nature allow me to recharge and reflect on my experiences.
