I am a United States Marine who is a graduate of National University. I received my Bachelor of Science in IT Management with a focus on computer networking. Before attending college I spent 18 years teaching Marines a broad range of subjects from small unit leadership to electronics, and wireless network maintenance. My first tutoring experience was helping peers when I was a student in the school. Later in my career I was a formal school instructor and curriculum developer at the Marine Corps Communication and Electronics School.
During my tenure as a USMC formal school instructor I mastered the skill of breaking down complex subjects into easier to understand components. After retiring from active service I led an RF engineering team where I hired and trained people with wide ranges of experience and backgrounds and developed a team of self-sufficient RF engineers that went on to build wireless networks all over the country. Now I am a full time adult educator teaching a wireless engineering certification course to industry professionals and mobile network operator engineering teams.
While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Electrical Engineering, Technical Writing, Essay review, Science, Leadership, Organization, and Time Management. In my experience helping students, I've found that assisting them to pick their focus, organize their effort, and manage their time is three quarters of what they need. The content mastery is easier when you have control over, and less stress about, your schedule. I can also help with technical resume writing and interview practice.
