Learning should be personalized, engaging, and have a long-lasting impact. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wayne State University located in Detroit, Michigan. During my time in university, I spent a semester tutoring biology to my underclassmen. I have also spent a summer in Seattle, Washington where I tutored Adult Basic Education Mathematics at Seattle Central College. My love for travel has now brought me to New Jersey where I hope to use the knowledge and skills that I have gained in my undergraduate studies to enrich the education of my future students. I tutor up to high school and college level language and composition, writing, sociology, math, biology, chemistry, and physics. Specifically, I can teach high school English, Basic Composition, Intermediate Composition, Oral Communication, introductory sociology, Sociology as a Vocation, Social Problems, Sociology of Sport, Medical Sociology, Methods of Social Research, Pre-algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-calculus, Differential Calculus, Evolution, Cellular Biology, Human and Comparative Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics, Biochemistry, General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II, Organic Chemistry I, Organic Chemistry II, Physics I, and Physics II. I can also tutor SAT prep as well as all subjects for the MCAT.
