I am a certified 6-12 Mathematics teacher with 17 years of classroom experience in Florida, U.S.A. I have taught various levels of Math (Algebra 1&2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Analysis of Functions), FSA, ACT, and SAT prep online.

I believe that every kid must have enjoyed Math at some point. From my experience as a teacher, I've seen that lots of students did really well in Math during their early years. But as they get older and Math gets more complicated, it becomes super important to have a solid foundation and good skills already in place. If a kid misses out on that foundation, it can make learning harder and make them feel unsure or scared about Math.

Whenever I start teaching, I like to think that some of my students might have missed out on some important basics. So, I make sure to go over these foundations again to ensure that everyone is up to speed. It's not always easy to do this in a classroom setting, but with one-on-one tutoring, it's much more achievable.

It's really important to create a sense of trust and openness right from the beginning so that the student feels relaxed and can really enjoy learning. It's worth keeping in mind that everyone has their own special ways of having fun and learning, so it's best to take a personalized and adaptable approach to teaching mathematics.

I've been teaching high school for 17 years and university courses for 9 years. My background in engineering has also helped me explain difficult concepts in simpler terms that are easier to understand and remember.
