I have been passionate about helping students in physics and math since my second semester as an undergraduate. I quickly realized that figuring out how to explain a topic to someone else was just as rewarding as solving the problem itself. Since then, I've tutored extensively, in person and online, throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies, including volunteering in departmental homework help sessions. I recently earned my Ph.D. in Physics from Missouri S&T, and I'm excited to continue developing my tutoring skills while helping students grow confident in their own understanding.

I work with students across most areas of physics, including electromagnetism, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and more. However, classical mechanics remains my favorite subject to teach; its problems are often deceptively simple, and I enjoy guiding students through results that challenge their intuition. My teaching is grounded in the I.S.E.E. method promoted in University Physics by Young and Freedman: Identify, Set up, Execute, and Evaluate. I emphasize the final step, evaluation, because learning happens most when students reflect on why an answer makes sense (or doesn't). Outside of tutoring and research, I enjoy long walks through my local park and game nights with friends, especially when they involve an intense round of Catan.
