I am currently a senior attending the University of Florida, pursuing a major in philosophy and a minor in computer science. I have a lot of experience with what many consider "weed-out classes," classes like Calculus I, Calculus II or the intro programming courses, and feel confident in my ability to steer you in the right direction! A pillar in my teaching philosophy is centered on instilling confidence in students that are struggling with the subject at hand, showing them that they can understand the material, that they can ace their exams! Many students doubt themselves when they reach an obstacle in their learning journey, and I believe it is important to understand that it is only temporary. With enough effort and consistency, students can overcome anything!
Regarding subject knowledge, I cover a broad range of subjects, ranging from introductory Japanese, to various middle and highschool courses, to college-level math courses. I have previous experience tutoring middle and highschool students, covering the various levels of math and science taught throughout these grade levels, including SAT prep. I had many students of different ages and backgrounds, and can work with any accomodations needed!
