I am a 9th Grade Math teacher in a Public school system.

Background:
To me, education opens a world or understanding that we haven't been exposed to yet, the more we learn and understand, the more we develop and discover. My family was a big support when I was going through school and I want to be there helping as many people as possible find true value in the learning that they seek, or is required of them.

Experience and Philosophy:
I have worked with a range of students from 2nd to 12th grade and am familiar with teaching practices that help students connect to the learning and really understand the topics in whatever way makes sense to them. In my 2 years of teaching/Subbing, I have learned numerous ways that all types of students learn, and need to be supported. My belief focuses on challenging students to discover concepts through productive struggle.

Education:
My academic history includes a bachelors degree is in Ocean Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, and I have a post-Baccalaureate from Worcester State University in secondary education, working towards a masters in secondary ed.

Courses:
I am excited to be able to tutor numerous Math courses from middle school through to high school, Physics and other high school sciences, and even Engineering courses. These courses are all based in logic and critical thinking and I always found interest to make connections to these concepts.

Personal interests:
Outside of academia, I enjoy physical activities such as Kayaking, jogging, and dance. Outside of that, I am an avid anime lover and enjoy playing all sorts of pokemon games. My passion in life is helping guide others through that learning process as well.
