I am a graduate of The University of Texas, at San Antonio. I received my Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus in International Business Management. Prior to that I received my Associate of Spanish from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, as a Cryptologic Linguist for the U.S. Air Force. I also have more than 25 graduate credits in mathematics education and bilingual education. I have worked as a certified school teacher in Texas, Utah, and Nevada in the subjects of Spanish (K-12), mathematics (through pre-algebra), and ESL (for ages 10-12 at a refugee facility). I have also privately tutored students from 1st through 10th grade in Spanish, mathematics, English, and SAT prep. I most enjoy teaching math and Spanish because of the quick gains students experience and their satisfaction at recognizing improvement and gaining confidence. I am a proponent of lifelong learning with a firm belief in the exponential value of early skill acquisition. Outside of work I most enjoy spending time with my children, grandchildren, and pet conures.
