I am a recent graduate from Alfred University, I have a bachelor's with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. I've worked with students all through my college career; beginning my tutoring experiences in my freshman year as my biology professor asked me to tutor the intro biology class my second semester there. I really enjoy helping students because the sense of fulfillment that I get out of helping a struggling student understand a concept that they either were totally unfamiliar with or were stumped on is extremely gratifying, and my favorite subject to tutor would probably be biology or math, simply because those are the two subjects that I find myself enjoying the most on a regular basis. However, I also really enjoy tutoring ELA. I firmly believe that no student is destined for failure. Having seen the success of students who thought that they wouldn't be able to understand a concept or even pass a class after they turned their habits around has shown me that anybody can succeed in the academic environment. Some of my interests outside of said academic environment would have to include video and tabletop gaming, drawing (I really enjoy making maps for games like D&D), and cooking. Cooking mostly because I love food, but also because I enjoy making it for other people.
