I had doubled majored in anthropology and Chinese during my undergraduate at the University of Utah. I am currently earning a Masters in International Studies with a certificate in Public Diplomacy at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. From my experiences, I believe in engaging and personal experiences in education to help students in reaching individual goals.

I first gained a love of teaching languages teaching refugees English. I refined my passion in sharing knowledge from my experiences in doing anthropological research and hands-on experimental archaeological field school during my undergraduate years. During my time as a museum professional in Thanksgiving Point, my skills in facilitating formal and informal education developed further to adapt my teaching to all age groups and learning styles.



I tailor lesson plans that work with the student's prior understanding of the material. In creating more of a collaborative environment I like to have students try different ways to see and solve a problem that they themselves can use effectively in the future. My goal is to help students be able to integrate the knowledge into their personal understanding to have more independent use of it in the future.

Also, in violin I had been concert mistress and section leader in my high school orchestra. I have also studied violin privately under Rosalie Macmillan for about 3 to 4 years. Additionally I have attended music festivals and gained a music letter as I graduated high school. I can tutor up to upper intermediate violin.
