I am a recent graduate of Saint Louis University, where I received a Master of Arts in English. While at SLU, I taught college-level writing to students with varying backgrounds and skill levels. My courses allowed students to develop their writing skills and experiment with multimedia formats like audio and video. During this time I also tutored students both in-person and online through SLU's University Writing Services. Before teaching and tutoring at SLU, I worked as a graphic designer at a custom publishing company in Chicago. While working at this position, I helped students from the Marwen program learn basic art and design skills within a professional environment. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most experienced in writing, literature, and test prep. I strive to tailor my lessons to each student's specific learning style so that we can figure out new ways to approach difficult skills. This involves truly getting to know each student so that lessons can be personal, enriching, and fun. My test scores have not yet been uploaded through the site, but I scored in the 98th percentile in the verbal reasoning portion of the GRE and am interested in receiving more GRE tutoring opportunities.
