I was born in Espinal, Tolima, Colombia. It is a small town where I studied elementary and High School. Then, I moved to Bogota, to study in the Faculty of Medicine of Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where I graduated. Then, I was a practicing Doctor in rural and small hospitals of Colombia as General Practitioner. Ten years ago, I moved to New York City and I have been working as Research Coordinator for New York University. At the same time, I took 40 credits at Touro College of bachelor in Biology. I enjoy to motivate students to gain knowledge and I possess the skills to explain difficult subjects, making an easy learning process. "Be gentle with people, but hard with problems", that's what I keep in mind when I teach.
