I started out playing guitar at 14 learning under jazz sensation and guitar player of the Michael Jackson tribute band.

From there I took music theory under Mr. Yasic. My father, who worked for the Carolina Symphony also taught me more theory.

As my playing evolved, I studied under flamenco and heavy metal guitarist Ryan Johnson.

Under my business AKG Guitar Lessons I have served over 200 students and was featured in the News and Observer. I also held a parent/student night which was a great success.

I cover almost every style of music conceivable and part of my quest for knowledge is to be versatile so that my students have the best music education possible.
