I'm a freelance writer and editor who's worked for national magazines. I've been an exam prep tutor for three years and worked one-on-one with high school students for English classes and writing help. From 2009 to 2010 I taught English to Chinese-speaking students in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
I attended Millsaps College in Jackson, MS, for my undergrad, where I majored in English and anthropology, was president of the English honor society, and graduated cum laude and with honors after defending a year-and-a-half-long research thesis. I earned my masters in journalism at New York University, where I interned at the websites for The New Yorker and New York Magazine and as a fact checker at the print edition of Newsweek International.
