Growing up in Miami, Florida, I developed a love for the hispanic culture. During my summers in college, I studied in Spain and spent time in Ecuador and Costa Rica. I graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish, and then proceeded to obtain my Master's degree in TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, at Florida International University. I currently have my teaching certificate for Spanish and ESOL for Kindergarten through twelfth grades, and I have taught at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels for over ten years. I also have enjoyed tutoring both Spanish and ESOL since it is rewarding to help students one-on-one to achieve their goals. Learning another language can sometimes seem like a daunting task, so I like to break down larger concepts into smaller and more manageable ones so that students can be successful as they see how it relates to their lives. In addition to working with students, I enjoy listening to music, travelling, and spending time with family and friends.
