About Me

I am a graduate of University of Connecticut where I received my Bachelor and Syracuse University where I received my Masters in Secondary Education. Being a teacher, I tutor everyday, but I have tutored outside the classroom for a year with Hillside tutoring--an after school program funded by Wegmans when teaching for the Syracuse City School District. I have tutored in Maryland after school hours for all grade levels in High School and now Middle School. Being a certified Secondary Social Studies educator, I can tutor anything related to that content from grades 7-12, from Geography, Government, Economics, World History among other content related areas. I think that it is necessary to show students/people that they can excel in something other than education and then transfer that to education. Also, being able to create real world relations to events that have already taken place, shows the relevance of the issue. Finally, making the information culturally relevant and emphasizing the importance of the events helps create a closer relation. In my spare time, I enjoy being physically active from lifting weights, running and taking my dog for walks. Watching sports especially soccer on the weekends and traveling when it works with my schedule. Relaxing and just having an overall positive outlook and thoughts about life are what I enjoy.
