When classes are fast-paced and instructors are unable to attend to the needs of students, the ultimate goal of education -- which is to promote understanding -- is often lost. As a tutor, my primary goal is to correct that. I accomplish this by simplifying complex concepts through the use of examples and basic problems and explaining why the concepts we study are actually useful. I am willing to work with students of all backgrounds and skill levels.
I graduated from Florida State University with two Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Psychology, and I am currently a Political Science PhD candidate at Stony Brook University. At Stony Brook, I teach a PhD level Statistics course, so Statistics is my strong suit. However, I am also knowledgeable about Psychology, Political Science, and Government. My hobbies include research, playing guitar, singing, biking, and going to the gym.
