I am passionate about science, learning, and teaching!
I received my undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Duke University. While at Duke, I was a teacher's assistant for Honor's General Chemistry. As such, I spent time working with a great group of students to learn the basic principles of chemistry.
After college, I worked in a laboratory for 2 years at the National Institute of Health. During my time in Washington DC, I also worked for Kaplan to prepare students for the MCAT. Washington University School of Medicine is where I received a Masters degree in Immunology. Outside of the laboratory, I spent my time working again as a teacher's assistant this time for Histology, a first year course for medical students, and then privately tutoring Histology.
To continue teaching, I now work as a Varsity Tutor and I love it. My goal in teaching is to make sure my students don't just pass their tests, but to really understand the topics so that they can apply their knowledge even when it comes to difficult critical thinking exercises.
I would love you to become another one of my successful students!
