We covered Parent and Inverse Functions and then reviewed Stoichiometry. He seems to have made progress in understanding the material and utilizing the formulas, graphs, and functions.

The student had a quiz on Geometry on Monday, so we focused mostly on math. She needed to be able to identify different polygons and their parts (lines, line segments). She did a great job and seemed to have a great handle on the different terms and how to draw the different shapes.

The student and I worked on a couple of linear programming problems as well as using augmented matrices to solve systems of equations.

The student and I prepared him for a unit circle quiz as well as an upcoming test. We did a lot of practice on the unit circle as well as practice on using trig functions to find distance and height.

We first reviewed the student's quiz results. We then went on to study for her test by working through the chapter review. I was happy that she remembered quite a bit of what we talked about in previous sessions.

For this session, the student and I continued our work on triangles and working on the third angles theorem, which basically explains how congruent triangles only need to depend on two of the angles being congruent in order to prove their congruencies. Some of the questions involved intermediate algebra, but for the most part, were very simple and somewhat time consuming.
