My approach to tutoring is rooted in empathy, patience, and adaptability. I understand that every learner is unique, with their own strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. Whether it's breaking down complex concepts into digestible chunks, providing real-world examples, or offering personalized feedback, I tailor my teaching methodology to cater to the specific needs and goals of each student. Moreover, I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to ask questions, voice concerns, and engage in meaningful discussions. By creating a collaborative space that encourages curiosity and critical thinking, I aim to cultivate not just proficient real estate professionals but also ethical leaders who prioritize integrity, professionalism, and community impact. Beyond the classroom, I am deeply invested in ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest industry trends and regulations. By continuously expanding my own knowledge base, I ensure that my students receive the most relevant and up-to-date information, equipping them with the tools they need to thrive in an ever-evolving real estate landscape. In essence, my journey as a real estate tutor is guided by a simple yet powerful belief: that by empowering individuals with the right knowledge, skills, and mindset, we can collectively shape a brighter future for the real estate industry and beyond. I am excited to embark on this journey with my students, empowering them to reach new heights of success and fulfillment in their real estate endeavors.

I love to teach and make learning fun!
Education has always been an important part of my life. My father always said one thing that nobody can take away from you is your education. That is why I became an educator. I am currently a senior at Florida Atlantic University. I volunteered at various elementary schools, where I tutored students after school. I also tutored students virtually. All the experience and skills I have accumulated over the years have enabled me to become a superb tutor.
A little bit about me - I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Cellular Neuroscience in 2023, where I would say over 75% of my coursework consisted of advanced biology and chemistry. For the last two years, I have worked in biomedical research focusing on the molecular mechansisms behind long-term memory storage and learning. I have co-authored four published articles on my work, and I am now beginning doctoral studies at Stanford School of Medicine. With a student, I love to implement real-world applications of the subject matter to help them understand the concepts in an applied way. I truly believe anyone has the potential to excel in the sciences; they just need motivation and structure, which I can provide.
I am currently a Senior at Florida Atlantic University, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English with honors. I have gained valuable experience teaching a diverse range of subjects. I have had the opportunity to teach writing, reading, critical thinking, and beginner's Spanish to students from grade 6 through undergraduate college. This experience has honed my communication and instructional skills, allowing me to engage with students of various age groups and learning styles. I am excited to continue applying my skills and interests as a tutor because I planning to pursue my PhD in literature after graduating with the goal to become a professor. I am committed to contributing meaningfully to the fields of literature, education, and language.
I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University (FAU). I received my Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a focus on writing and education. As an undergraduate, I took advanced graduate courses, looking to expand and to deepen my knowledge and skills in writing and pedagogy. When the French avionics company I worked for for about 10 years closed their Miami facility, in 2001, I decided to go back to school, and finish my degree. I was in my English class (Honors Short Story) on September 11, waiting for the class to start, when the television came on to news reports of an attack and we watched in horror coverage of the first tower engulfed in flames, and the second tower collapse.I remember being anxious about writing my first college essay in some ten years. It was a paper on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Fall of the House of Usher." Our instructions were to write a five-paragraph essay, with a minimum 10-sentence paragraphs. I was confused by this instruction, because we didn't learn the 5-paragraph essay in Montreal. I considered submitting a writing sample to see if I was up to the task. Eventually, I decided to take my chances and write the essay the best way I knew how.I could hardly breathe waiting for the professor to grade and return our papers. Finally, she called us one by one up to her desk, and she handed us our papers. I do not know what she said to the other students, but as she held out my paper, she motion to the desk and said, "You should be on this side of the desk," meaning the teacher side. That's all I needed to hear. I made sure to take every course that would make me the best teacher I could be.I studied year-round, and in December 2003, I graduated summa cum laude. I went on to take graduate courses in teaching reading, language arts, young adult fiction, pedagogy, and writing. I started teaching high school Language Arts and Reading in 2004-2005.While I tutor a range of subjects, I love writing. I have had an essay and a memoir published. I am compiling essays for a book series and I post short reflections on my website. I enjoy watching crime/police dramas, mysteries/detective shows, and the occasional vampire series. I also like photography, sewing, and quilting.Because I was not born in the United States, I missed out on the treasure trove of American children's books, and so I took every opportunity to read them as a student and as a teacher. I relish reading children's books and young adult fiction because I feel they help me to connect to high school students. I use children's books to teach complex topics, because the readability level does not get in the way of seeing the pattern of writing and the stylistic, organizational tropes the author uses.I believe in meeting people where they are. I use my own experience and self-reflection to better understand the needs of my students; to adapt to their learning style and preferences; to have empathy for their cultural perspective; to appreciate the full range of their personal experience. I look forward to working with you on achieving the goals and aspirations you have for yourself. So, how may I help you?
One of my biggest passions is to help students succeed in their difficult classes. I have extensive experience in tutoring and teaching. I tutored for seven years a variety of courses in both the mathematics and electrical engineering departments at Florida Atlantic University. I am very patient and I enjoy working with my students. My teaching approach is to make math fun and simple. I have a great record of helping students succeed in difficult courses. In addition, I love to help my students develop study and strategy skills that help them perform well on their exams and tests. Overall, I love to help my students.
I have a deep passion helping others excel on the SAT. I received a score in high school that allowed me to get a full ride scholarship to any university in Florida, which changed my life. As a 97th percentile (770+) scorer in Math and a 91st percentile score (700+) scorer in Reading, I am confident I can help your child excel and get a high score!
Hi! I'm Ashley and I am a graduate from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Biological Sciences, along with a minor concentration in Francophone studies. I spent my first year out of undergrad teaching biology and environmental science to high school students. During my undergraduate years I was involved in undergraduate scientific research and had the opportunity of becoming a published author in a scientific journal! Other than the sciences, my secondary academic interest is the French language. While I am no longer in the classroom, I possess a variety of strategies to help my students understand the concepts they are being taught because I know that every student has their own unique approach to learning. Learning should always be fun and engaging and I look forward to bringing the fun to you!
As a lifelong learner, daughter of scholars, and mother of two I believe that learning to learn facilitates a life of success and contentment. As a classroom teacher, I recognize that students have unique approaches to learning and that one size does not fit all. Tutoring allows me an opportunity to connect individually with a student, determine their learning styles, and approach their challenges with fresh and exciting ways to encourage them to embrace learning.I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University in 2004 with Summa Cum Laude honors. I have taught in Broward County, Florida, in Fort Mill Public Schools as a substitute, and now at a private school in Charlotte.I am an avid reader and knitter, and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible with my 9 year old daughter. My eldest is grown and has left the nest already.I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and help your student achieve maximum success.
BA in Italian language and literature with a double minor in Spanish and International Studies from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Currently I am pursuing a MA in Spanish from Florida Atlantic University. I have 5+ years of tutoring in Spanish, French and Italian in all levels K-12, college and professional development. As mentioned above I tutor and teach all the three Romance Languages, however I mostly enjoy teaching Spanish since it is my native language and it is becoming a second language in many major US cities and the most popular foreign language taught within US school curricula. The main goal I have for my students is simple and to the point: being able to communicate in the target L2. I assure them that L2 acquisition is a process that takes time and practice. I also encourage them not to let frustration get on the way of learning and achieving the possibility to communicate in a L2. Outside of academia, what I enjoy the most is to spend as much time possible with my family and travel whenever possible. I am interested in many contemporary issues, such as and not limited to, global warming, gender equality, education, the fight against human trafficking and many other topics.

Realizing how much I enjoy editing my sons' and my wife's research papers I decided to go into tutoring. I have an Arts and Humanities degree with a focus on Communications.I have a passion for the written word in a poetic sense as well as with an eye for the concise style expected in research papers and book reports. There is always room to insert personality regardless of what or for whom you are writing.I look forward to sharing this passion and the correct way of writing everything from fictional stories to properly cited research papers.
I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in grades K-6th. With this I am also ESOL endorsed. I taught grades 1-3 and 6th grade as a Reading Intensive Teacher. After nine wonderful years of teaching, I decided to leave the classroom to educate my own children at home. During my teaching journey, I've learned that all students are unique in their own learning styles. This was difficult to tackle in a classroom setting of 30 students. This is what drove me to home educate and begin my online tutoring journey. I began by teaching students from mainland China the English language. While I love teaching all subjects, including math, I am very passionate about teaching Reading and Language Arts. In my experience, this content area is one that many of my students struggled with. I have many years of experience with prepping students for state testing and what those entail. However, my focus is to help current students find the joy in reading again. I am a firm believer in that reading should be a daily practice and one that should be enjoyed.
I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where I earned a degree in Secondary English Education with a certification in English (6-12) with ESOL Endorsement (FL). Since graduating, I have taught Language Arts in South Florida at the middle school level to students of varied learning needs. Upon moving to New York, I became certified in English Language Arts in order to continue my passion for education. My approach to teaching and tutoring is to guide students toward discovery and passion for learning by giving them support and encouragement that allows them to feel confident in their pursuit of knowledge. Although I enjoy tutoring all things Language Arts, I most enjoy helping students with their reading comprehension and writing skills. Once a love and understanding of reading is developed, learning seems to become second nature. Writing is also a key component to academic success, as it allows a student to confidently express his/her thoughts and ideas. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking vegetarian cuisine, taking my dog to the park, and of course, reading!
As a dedicated tutor with over 2-3 years of experience, I am passionate about fostering a love for learning in young students. Currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Early Care and Education from Florida Atlantic University, I specialize in elementary subjects such as K-2nd grade English, Math, Reading, Science, and Social Studies. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to explore and ask questions. I believe that every child has unique strengths, and I strive to connect with each student individually, tailoring my approach to meet their needs. Beyond academics, I enjoy reading and exploring new educational resources, which continually enrich my tutoring practice.
My passion for teaching and tutoring sparked when I was an undergraduate student at Florida Atlantic University. I was hired as an undergraduate teaching assistant by the biology department to teach a discussion course for both biology 1 & 2. In my discussion courses I had gained experience in effectively communicating scientific concepts to students who were learning the content for the very first time. I had found that teaching students the big picture and conceptual knowledge first helped them digest more difficult information. I would also help students by using analogies and mnemonics to help them remember certain topics more easily! In my experiences as a teaching assistant I learned how to be patient with students when they do not understand right away; and I am able to tell when a student is not comprehending the topic which allows me to switch the way I portray the information. I also like to give visual queues to students to help them see what they are learning about whether by drawing pictures or by showing the student short animations. Also, I have the student teach me back to the best of their ability so I can pin point exactly where they are having trouble. I hope that with my guidance I can help students feel more confident approaching problems that they have not been able to answer before. The main topics that I tutor are biology, algebra 1&2, and pre-calculus. My favorite to tutor is biology because I think it is fascinating to learn how living organisms, especially humans, operate and respond to the environment around them.I earned my bachelors of science in biology at Florida Atlantic University and currently I am working on achieving my masters degree in biomedical science with the prospect of going to medical school. My goal is to continue teaching people throughout my professional career as a physician. When I am not studying in the library or taking classes, I like to be adventurous and spend my time outside. Some of my hobbies include spearfishing, snorkeling, mountain biking, and archery. I also enjoy spending time with close friends and meeting new people.
I am a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor's degree in English. I am currently finishing up my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Full Sail University. Since graduating from FAU, I've worked with homeless and foster youth in New York. Then, I traveled to California where I worked with AmeriCorps to counsel and tutor high school students in underserved communities. I am a proud advocate of education. To me, knowledge is power. With being a poet, I have a natural love and appreciation for words. This converted into my interest in English and Literature. Currently, I am a 6th grade Language Arts teacher. I teach a range of students who require me to be versatile in my teaching methods. I believe every student should receive all the help they need in order to truly be the best student they can be. Along with poetry, my other interests include reading, writing, painting, and gaming.
Math is incredibly fun for me to teach, I've always been that friend who worked with fellow peers during High School, and even in College would help other students with the Math problems we were given immediately after class outside the room. This experience has helped me know how to connect new concepts and old concepts to help others learn best!
Born and raised in Colombia! Fully Fluent in English as well. As a native Spanish speaker, I am eager to help students improve their Spanish reading, writing, and speaking abilities, offering insights into both the language and the rich cultural contexts in which it is used. My background in anthropology and Latin American studies allows me to provide a unique perspective on language learning, connecting linguistic skills with cultural understanding. As a cultural anthropologist, educator, and native Spanish speaker, I am passionate about helping students explore the complexities of human societies, develop critical thinking skills, and master language proficiency. My academic journey, which includes a Master's degree from Florida Atlantic University and ongoing PhD studies at the University of Calgary, has equipped me with a deep understanding of anthropology and interdisciplinary approaches to social sciences. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience working with diverse student populations. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at both Florida Atlantic University and the University of Calgary, I have assisted in designing course materials, facilitated engaging discussions, and provided personalized support to students in subjects such as Introductory Anthropology, Philosophy, and Medical Anthropology. My role as an Adjunct Professor at Florida Atlantic University allowed me to develop a comprehensive curriculum exploring the cultural, historical, and sociopolitical dimensions of peace and violence, encouraging students to analyze complex global issues from an anthropological perspective. I am particularly passionate about tutoring anthropology, Latin American studies, research methods, and Spanish language skills. My approach to tutoring is student-centered, focusing on creating a supportive atmosphere that facilitates open dialogue and intellectual exploration. I believe in adapting my teaching style to meet the individual needs of each student, whether that means providing additional explanations, using visual aids, or relating concepts to real-world examples. For language learners, this might involve immersive conversation practice, culturally relevant materials, or tailored exercises to address specific language learning goals. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that education is a transformative tool for personal growth and social understanding. I strive to make complex anthropological concepts and language skills accessible and relevant to students' lives, encouraging them to think critically about the world around them. I also value inclusivity and diversity in education, having experience working with English as a Second Language (ESL) students and adapting my teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles and backgrounds. Outside of academia, I have a keen interest in museum education and public anthropology. My experiences as a Museum Educator at the Miami Children's Museum and as a Research Intern at History Miami Museum have given me valuable insights into communicating complex ideas to diverse audiences. These experiences inform my tutoring approach, allowing me to make anthropological concepts and language learning engaging and relatable to students from various backgrounds. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new cultures through travel, participating in academic conferences, and engaging in community-based research projects. These activities not only enrich my personal life but also contribute to my ability to bring fresh perspectives and real-world examples into my tutoring sessions, particularly when it comes to language and cultural studies.
For 8 years I helped Chinese children up to Brazilian adult professionals feel more confident about reading and writing or speaking and listening to English. I am warm and friendly and help my students make progress gradually without feeling pressured or intimidated. It is a joy for me to make English feel easy and fun! Some students love praticing their conversational Portuguese and Spanish with me also!
I have been helping students discover their love of Spanish language and Latin American literature and cultures since 2006. If you've had a hard time with grammar or if you think Spanish is not for you, I can explain complicated structures in a way that will make them easy to understand. I want my students to feel confident in their written and spoken language skills! If practicing your Spanish in preparation for a special trip or class presentation is your thing, I'd be delighted to help you reach your personal goals.

Let me help you SHATTER the EXPECTATIONS! First...we have to figure out HOW you learn! What's your style? Then...we'll come up with a game plan. Finally...we'll celebrate your successes! I LOVE teaching people how to write...creative writing...argumentative/persuasive writing...explanatory/informative writing. It's my thing! (And...we can even add some hands-on, artsy components to the lesson! Fun! Fun! Fun!)
Education is my life! If I am not teaching then I am usually immersed in learning a new topic, skill, or hobby. Although I have worked in just about every area of education from summer camps to coaching, I formally began my journey by attaining my Bachelors Degree in Secondary English Education (Gr. 6-12). I discovered how much I loved working with younger students and went on to get my Masters Degree in Elementary Education (K-6 all subjects) from the University of Central FL.Since then I have worked as a 3rd and 5th grade classroom teacher as well as a specialist intervention teacher for reading and math for K-8. I am passionate about helping students develop a love of learning as well as a positive outlook on their own education.I also enjoy outdoor activities and yoga in my (very limited) free time. Cooking and spending time with family is also enjoyable for me. I look forward to working with students to help them achieve their academic goals and help them on their path to attaining their highest potential.

I have a Masters Degree in Business Administration and I am a Certified Financial Planner. I also have several industry licenses; series 7, 66, 51, 24, and 2-15. I am passionate about personal financial literacy and have previously taught financial literacy classes to high school students. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about business, economics, leadership, personal finance, and securities licensing. In my experience helping students prepare for complex exams, we always seem to have the most success when we have discovered the student's learning style and thought-process. I believe learning should be an engaging, inspiring activity where the student can envision how their new knowledge will apply to real-life scenarios. I am also a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
Hi I'm Miss Nelson (Yes, just like the book "Miss Nelson Is Missing"),Thank you for considering me as your possible tutor. Before you make your decision, you should know some things about me.I am currently an elementary school teacher and teaching is my passion. I teach reading/ELA, math, and science. My goal is to give students an opportunity to learn in a safe, family oriented environment. I believe every student is able to excel, as long as he/she is willing to work hard, never give up and remain consistent.I too had to overcome many challenges on my journey to becoming a teacher. I had wonderful educators who helped me along the way, and I aim to continue extending the same aid to my students.I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am a certified teacher for grades k-6. I've been teaching for 4 years and tutoring for over 5 years.
In May 2014, I will be graduating from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I tutor biology and all of the standard chemistry courses (general, organic, physical, biochemistry), but organic chemistry and biochemistry are my favorite subjects to tutor. I worked for several years at Palm Beach State College as a supplemental instructor for organic chemistry, in addition to private tutoring. It's very rewarding for me to help students break down barriers which are based in fear and low self-confidence, and help them realize that they can indeed conquer these subjects, no matter how scary their reputation may be. In chemistry, it can be very tempting to rely too heavily on rote memorization, so I try to focus on developing a deep understanding of concepts in order to reduce the need for memorization.I also tutor Spanish, which has been a passion of mine for many years. I'm mostly self-taught and excited to help others learn from my own past mistakes. I recently spent 7 months studying in Spain, in a very small city where almost no one speaks English, which was simply a dream come true. The best advice I have for language learners is to step outside your comfort zone, and you'll be surprised how fast you'll catch on!I am passionate about traveling, experiencing new cultures, learning new languages and trying new food. I'm in the process of becoming ESL certified, and I've just begun to learn Arabic, which is proving to be an enjoyable, very challenging, hobby.
I have my Bachelor's in Accounting from Michigan State University, and my Master's in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. I enjoy working with college students and want to share my Accounting and Business knowledge with future generations. I have been tutoring College students in Accounting for almost 2 years privately.

I continued at Miami Dade College and upgraded my AS degree to an Associate in Arts degree, graduating in 1998. This would open the doors to getting into Florida Atlantic University. At FAU, I worked on my undergraduate degree in Psychology, and graduated in 2004. While attending classes at FAU, I taught in the classrooms with the public-school systems. With much faith, perseverance, and a steadfast attitude, I continued to pursue my calling to teach, I became a certified teacher, and attended graduate school! I am a successful graduate of the Inaugural class with a Master of Science in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Early and Middle Childhood Education, from the Adrian Dominican School of Education at Barry University. I proudly graduated Suma Cum Laude in 2013 from Barry University. I stayed teaching in the Public School system for approximately 10 + years. I left with the desire to experience different academic arenas, which I have successfully accomplished as a classroom teacher. I now have knowledge and have taught with the charter school systems, private schools, and religious schools from grades Pre-K- 8th since 2000.However, with the Pandemic, I began tutoring/teaching with a company until presently via zoom and in person. This experience would lead me to create and run my own tutoring business where I teach students from Pre-K to 8th grade via zoom and in person in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. I also have the opportunity to teach ESOL adults who are looking to learn English. My most successful experience as a teacher/tutor was from my student in Elementary Math. I tutored her afterschool when she was in elementary school and struggling in Math. Today she is a married mom of two and herself an Elementary school Math teacher! She lovingly reminds me that her success began with me believing in her and challenging her to blossom successfully to who she is today! Until her teen years I guided, mentored, tutored, and taught her to achieve the success she has today!I also have distinguished awards in 2002 from FAU called the Broward Achievement Award awarded for student leadership as a role model to students and the community. I was also awarded a Certificate of Achievement from Florida Atlantic University in 2002 Awarded for demonstrating distinguished excellence in personal and professional endeavors, as well as dedication and commitment to helping others. More recently I received "Most Valuable Teacher" award from Avant Garde Academy in 2020.I conclude by informing you how humbled and grateful I am for my calling to teach! I look forward to lovingly challenge my students to reach their maximum learning potential while watching them blossom in their areas of struggle.

Hello. My name is Ady. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, English, and Public Safety Administration from Florida Atlantic University. I am currently working on degrees in other areas and hope to pursue my masters someday. I am passionate about helping students, because I enjoy seeing them learning and gaining something from my lessons. I have taught students from Kindergarten through second grade for around five years in a classroom environment. I have also taught conversational English to adults and English to younger elementary age students online.I currently tutor the subjects of: reading and phonics. I also work with Elementary students from Kindergarten through second grade and English Language Learners. My favorite subjects to tutor are conversational English and reading, because it's wonderful to see the improvement that students make while they're working on these subjects. My teaching philosophy is that education should be more interactive and my tutoring style includes having a more relaxed conversational format.
I plan for many exciting opportunities for the children to ensure they are stimulated and interested in what they are being taught. During lessons, I guarantee that my plans contain activities which cater to all learning styles."Those who know, do. Those that understand teach."Aristotle
Learning, studying, even IQ scores, are all skills that can be raised by doing. I can teach you how to study effectively, which is a skill they don't, but should, teach in elementary and high school. There is a system to it, and anyone can learn how to study effectively.
As a certified teacher with a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in Special Education, I bring both subject expertise and specialized training to my work with students. For over three years on the Varsity Tutors platform, I've helped children build confidence and make meaningful progress, especially those who struggle with reading disorders like dyslexia.
