I graduated from Florida International University with a BS in Marine Biology. For about five years I worked with Dr. Joel Trexler and Dr. Kevin Boswell working on the spatio-temporal patterns in the distribution, behavior, and foraging of fish in the Everglade canals using advanced fisheries sonar techniques. I inherited my project from a graduated MS student and my senior thesis was responsible for the previously overlooked role of submerged vegetation and structural complexity on predator prey interactions. I bring a lot of my research experience in to the classroom. My main goal is to teach so that there is understanding and comprehending among the students, and not just memorizing.I love teaching! I believe that education is the best weapon we can arm ourselves with. I will do my best to teach you the material that you need to know in manner that you will understand and remember beyond a test or a class.
