My name is Arne and I graduated from the Ohio State University with my BS in Economics. I worked for the economics department as a tutor. I specialize in Mathematics and Social Studies, and also enjoy working with students on test prep. My style as a tutor is to guide students through problems and provide advice and explanations rather than presenting the solutions and process immediately. This gives students the chance to learn the material both correctly and efficiently as they are actually working through the material. I attended medical school at Drexel University immediately after and will begin residency in Neurosurgery this coming July. Throughout my extensive educational career, I was fortunate to be guided by numerous mentors that played a key role every in every aspect of my journey thus far. For this reason, I have been tutoring since before I graduated high school and will continue to do so. I want to pass on the knowledge and skills instilled in me to future students. Over the last decade, I have tutored numerous community college students at two community colleges in the state of Ohio. While I tutored primarily English and Spanish courses, I have tutored many courses in the Liberal Arts curriculum, including History, Political Science, and other Modern Languages. I especially enjoy tutoring anything that combines any number of these subjects together, as I am a firm believer that writing and literature are a part of culture and are a reflection of it.
