For the past three years, I've had the joy of shaping young minds as both a first-grade and fifth-grade teacher. I've also helped adult English language learners build the reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills they need to pursue higher education. Education isn't just my career it's my passion. I bring energy, encouragement, and a results-driven mindset to every session, and I can't wait to help students grow in confidence and achieve their learning goals!

Hello! I'm currently living in Beaufort, SC. Teaching students motivates me to excel in how I communicate knowledge. With 20 years of teaching experience, I can help meet the academic learning goals that parents have for their children. My teaching experience includes lower elementary grades, K5, preschool classes, and piano instruction, and online teaching. I anticipate building academic relationships here through Varsity Tutors and learning more what your learning goals are.
As a dedicated tutor, I am passionate about nurturing a love for math and science in students. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Office Administration from Pensacola Christian College, and I have experience teaching elementary school math and Earth Science. My time as a Sunday school teacher and a high school teacher's aide has equipped me with the skills to connect with young learners and adapt my teaching methods to their individual needs. I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity and confidence. My goal is to inspire students to embrace challenges and develop a lifelong appreciation for learning.
Passionate nurse and nursing instructor. I have been in some form of Healthcare for over 20+years, and have experience in multiple specialties from Med-surg , ICU, OBGYN, family practice, urgent care, pulmonary, case management, nurse educator(non academic), DON of a Rehabilitation and Long Term Care Facility, travel nursing, nursing instructor (academic)..... I started my healthcare career working as a CNA, I then worked as a Medical Assistant, RN (with an ADN degree), BSN, MSN, and now I have an EDD in adult education. Obviously, I did not know when to stop....lol, no, just kidding, I ALWAYS wanted to teach, it just took me a minute to get where I wanted to be but and I did it and truly LOVE teaching, my passion is helping you to become successful. I received my first nuring degree in Pensacola Fl at Pensacola Jr. College, then my BSN and MSN are from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL, and most recently I received my Doctor of Education degree from Northcentral University. I have been a traditional and non-traditional student in the sense of being older and also taking online classes, trust me, I know that online is NOT easy, it take a lot more disclipline and dedication. I have taught in both traditional and online settings as well. I also had the pleasure and was blessed to be able to participate in a study abroad course during my MSN program in South Africa, I LOVED IT!!!! That was such a blessing and helped me in so many ways. We were imersed in the healthcare of the country, worked in public and private hospitals, the health department, hospice, home health, and spoke to the nursing class at the Nelson Mandela School of Nursing and participated in a round table with the Prime Minister of Health at the Health Department in Port Elizabeth. OMG what a once in a lifetime experience that I will always treasure. Even though we were working, it was so exciting to see the culture of healthcare in such an amazing place. Learning about the customs, needs, wishes, and mannerisms of the healthcare system as well as seeing how much we have in common, just in a somewhat different way. That experience was one I will always cherish. The pics I took on my trip are posted in my office and I refer to them as my happy place. In my nursing career I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, I have taught in small private schools all the way up to the University of Alabama Huntsville and even been the Nursing Department Chair of a nursing program. I have not ever had a class or taught a course I did not enjoy. If I had to pick one as my favorite it would be teaching the babies as I like to call them, meaning the first semester students. I love setting the bar and seeing just how far you will go with it. I absolutely love instilling a fresh, firm foundation in new students, expanding their minds, opening them up to new and exciting things, and helping shape them in their journey to become healthcare professionals. I understand that each and every student is unique with special needs. There is no such thing as one size fits all. I do my best to adapt my teaching to the student or group of students I have in front of me at the time, I use a variety of teaching strategies, no two classes are exactly the same as I am always trying to perfect my teaching skills just as I am trying to help you become successful in your venture. Tell me what you need and together we will do out best to reach your goals. Thank you and I look forward to working with you.
I am very passionate about helping my students. I get the most satisfaction when I see that my students have truly understood what they are trying to learn. This happens often. I am able to modify my teaching so that it truly fits the needs of my students. I have had lots of experience in tutoring all kinds of mathematics including pre algebra, algebra I,II, geometry, pre calculus, AP calculus and differential and integral calculus. I have majored in Biology and Engineering and have completed calculus courses from NMSU, UNM, University of Houston, University of Texas at Austin, and Metro State where I studied geometry and math history to obtain my Colorado Teacher's License. I am a quick study and am able to pick up on the needs and strengths of my students as well as the academic content they are trying to learn. My students and their parents have been very happy with my work and they have referred me to new clients. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Humanities and a Master's degree in Theology and NT Greek. I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
I am an ultrasound instructor with 39 years of ultrasound experience in all major modalities. I have instructed students throughout my career and I also write questions for the ARDMS cardiac registry exam. I enjoy giving back to the field and helping younger students get started and helping guide their careers through my experiences.
