I am a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. Since graduating, I have spent 30 years in Texas Public School classrooms teaching grades one through sixth and eighth grade mathematics. Since retiring from classroom teaching, I have been a substitute teacher in a local district teaching children in Pre-K through middle school. I have also tutored privately for the same age groups. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about mathematics, reading, and writing in the elementary school levels. Prepping students for the state testing has always been important and my students have shown great proficiency with the tests after prep. Over the years, I have found that instilling a love of learning fosters great success in mastery of their objectives. I believe that all children can obtain mastery when given learning experiences that fit their learning mode. Many learning experiences are offered to cover their material including hands-on activities, technology when available, as well as written lessons. When not working with children, I enjoy reading, sewing, walking, and creating crafts.

Hi, my name is Sunny Wong and I am a graduate student currently attending NYU 's Tandon School of Engineering. I have a background in chemistry, biology and mathematics.

I believe a solid education is fundamental for children to succeed in life. Working as a tutor allows me to be an active part of helping kids get ahead in life. I personally believe this goal is significant not only for their future, but for that of our whole society. Education allows one to appreciate and understand a variety of cultures, ideas, and events. For more than eight years I have worked as a tutor, working with students of all grades K-12, and have worked with students of all stripes, including several with autism and dyslexia.

I graduated from Stony Brook University in NY with my Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a focus on Emergency Medicine. I am currently enrolled in a Masters of Physician Assistant Program at Thiel College. My strength is that I have a wide range of education and have developed several study stragies through trial and error. I have great interpersonal skills which have really allowed me to be an excellent listener and be very observative. As a research assistant in the Social Competence and Treatment Lab in the psychology department at my university, my role as a behavioral coder had really allowed me to develop a unique skill of being able to analyze and be alert to body language and verbal ques that may normally go unnoticed. As a graduate student pursuing medicine, I am patient and acknowledge the dedication and work ethic it takes to do well academically. In my free time, I really enjoy working with my hands and crafting, I enjoy drawing, making collages, and painting. I make handmade jewelry and it keeps me discipled to not give up because it is difficult and frustrating at times when I don't get a certain skill perfect. Thank you

I recently returned to Albuquerque after spending a year in Spokane, Washington working with individuals experiencing homelessness. In addition to tutoring I work for Children's Choice after school program and hope to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology very soon. I would like to become a therapist in the future, and like to think my experience working with my students will help me when working with future clients. In my free time I like to play board games, do yoga, go hiking, and read books. I really like science fiction so if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them!I do standardized test prep tutoring, with my favorite test to tutor being the ACT. My tutoring style is to adapt my method to each individual student. Different things work for different people and I will do my very best to try and find a method that works for you. I will also try and help you create a study plan to organize your studying and reduce stress. Together we can see those test scores go up!
