All students can learn, however, not all students learn the same way. The key to learning and the most important part of any teachers job is helping students understand how they learn best. That is what I do well.

I received my MBA graduate degree from Georgetown University and my Electrical Engineering Bachelors degree from San Diego State University. I worked for Sony Electronics for over a decade as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, leading hardware designs of newly introduced features of Sony's High-Definition televisions. I have also managed a privately-owned business. I have always been passionate about tutoring. For example, I tutored math, calculus and physics in college, and I volunteered in educating seniors in computer skills. I especially enjoy tutoring students who are interested in learning the subject themselves. Whether they are good at it is irrelevant as I will work very hard to ensure they have the right foundation to be confident and enthusiastic about the topic at hand. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, biking and playing the piano. I also enjoy meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds.

As a passionate educator with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology & Sociology from Rhodes College, I have over 4 years of experience tutoring students in college and university admissions, as well as crafting compelling college application essays. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel empowered to express their unique voices and perspectives. I am an efficient and experienced consultant with a 14 year work history in teaching, mentoring, marketing, sales, and customer relationship management roles. More recently, I have gained experience as a field researcher and data collection representative for psychological test publication companies and for the dissemination of research opportunities through my own efforts under the public name Research for ALL! Throughout my career, I have developed skills in the areas of data collection, education administration, marketing, social media sales, and educational consulting. I am proficient in communication methods and communication sciences, English and second language accommodations, as well as computer literacy. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business and Organizational Leadership while researching full time work in educational consulting and tutoring in specialized curriculum areas (i.e., marketing, sales, business education, math and science).

Born and raised in Orlando, FL. An undergraduate student with excellent communication, leadership, and troubleshooting. Currently pursuing a Bachelors of Photonic Science and Engineering at the University of Central Florida. Developed skillsets to solve commercial and engineering problems in a short amount of time. Ready to teach students how to solve physics problems.

I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from MIT with a Concentration in Philosophy at Harvard University. I also possess a decade of experience as a teacher of High School Mathematics at international schools in North America, Europe and Asia. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Furthermore, I have reached an intermediate proficiency level of French, Italian and German. Regarding my tutoring, I feel comfortable teaching Mathematics in both English and Spanish. I enjoy one-on-one tutoring because it gives me the chance to taylor my lessons to the specific needs of a student. My preference is to build knowledge from first principles and to encourage reasoning and independent thinking. I consider it is also essential to create lasting study habits, which will serve well beyond a single Mathematics subject. Fundamentally, I like to develop a mentoring relationship with my students. It is extremely rewarding to see the sparkle in a student's eyes when they master a new topic. I also find it uplifting to witness how students gain self-confidence in dealing with mathematical concepts.

I grew up in the Boston area and now live in Citrus County, Florida. I graduated from MIT in chemical engineering and worked for many years as a chemical process engineer, so I have a strong background in math and science, especially chemistry and thermodynamics. I've also been granted six U.S. patents. When the pandemic hit us, I moved to Florida and did part-time work as a chess tutor, then became a substitute teacher in the middle and high schools in our district. I enjoyed working with the students, many of whom had difficulty learning in big classes with many disruptions. I found that I could best help these students by using real-world examples to teach difficult concepts in a new way. Often, then, the student would come away with a new perspective and a much better understanding of the concept. I was happy to be able to help. These days as a VT tutor, I continue to use, whenever possible, real-world examples in my own material in chemistry and thermodynamics.

I am a veteran and professional engineer working in the space industry. My military background is in computer systems/networks and I completed my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington in Seattle. I am nearing the end of my M.S. in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Purdue, which I have been working towards part-time since 2020. I have tutoring experience from my undergraduate experience where I worked as a chemistry, physics, and mathematics tutor. Additionally, I have mentoring experience in my current role as an engineer. I have a strong interest in continual learning and enjoy helping others succeed in their studies & educational pursuits.
